Thank you for your interest in the 2024 LBJG Summer Program! Please DO NOT register for the program until AFTER your participant passes the swim test at one of the tryouts. If you have a returning Junior Guard (participated in the 2023 Summer Program), you do NOT need to attend a tryout.

About the event
Tryouts will take place at Belmont Pool between 8:00AM-12:00PM. There are not assigned times, and you are welcome to arrive anytime between 8AM and noon.
The Long Beach Junior Lifeguard program requires all prospective Junior Guards attend a tryout and pass the LBJG swim test registering for the summer program. The swim test involves swimming 100 yards in less than 2 minutes.NEWBEFORE
Returning Junior Guards do have to complete the swim test. Returning Junior Guards are those who participated in the previous year's JG program (2023). JG's who take a year off are considered returning, and must re-test.not NOT
